The founder John Marcus, began his career in Denver, Colorado at DMJM, one of the top ten architectural engineering firms in the U.S. as a field surveyor and in the mean time, a part-time civil engineering student. Relocating to the east coast, he was employed as a facilities engineer with firms providing designs for major manufacturing concerns such as IBM, GE, Lockheed Martin, and Singer-Link. Mr. Marcus launched his consulting service of providing construction management and cost estimating with a partner licensed in commercial real estate appraising. The partnership provided technical appraisals of specific use type properties that included machinery and equipment valuations. Mr. Marcus earned his accreditation from the American Society of Appraisers Machinery & Technical Specialties for machinery and equipment appraising in 1999. His expert testimony on Fixture Valuations has been accepted by the highest courts in New York State.
