Mr. Marcus began his career as civil engineer at DMJM, a top ten architectural engineering firm. He moved to the east coast as a facilities engineer at design firms working for IBM. After which, Mr. Marcus began his consulting practice of providing construction management and cost estimates with a partner who was a commercial real estate appraiser. The business provided technical appraisals of specific use type properties including machinery and equipment valuations. Mr. Marcus earned his designation from the American Society of Appraisers Machinery & Technical Specialties for machinery and equipment appraising in 1999.
